The toner pumps from the production machines makes for monster air pumps. Needs some PWM to control those beasts other wise the fish will get blow-waved.

Anyone else out there playing with Arduino?

Took me 2 weeks straight to get a bootloader onto a blank chip.
Well at least I know how to use avrdude and all about FUSE bits and stuff.
Got a batch of Atmel ATmega 328P with non standard fuse bit settings.
That will keep u busy for a while.
Very frustrating if all the YouTube clips shows how easy it is and i just cant seem to get it to work.

            Hi all

Has anybody built or have full plans for Claude Shannon's Ultimate Machine ?? I'm sure most ,if not all parts can be salvaged from almost any copier.

            Thanks

Well this was sparked by BC's tester reply...

Here is some vids of me playing with copier motors.
Those brushless motors are potent it provides a feed back to maintain constant speed thru a MCU.

Hi...i would like to share my stuff also. I made an automated tea infuser. It uses the two Canon primary wire cleaner motors and two DPST switches to drive Mita lens reduction gears. It drops the mechanism into two teacups then cycles once per second vertically 40mm. I wanted to be able to preset a timer in which the machine would retract from the cups, but never did figure that part out.

Excellent use of cut & paste. Can you type actual words by yourself?
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes there is text "concise driven" software on the internet. I haven't used concising software in years. There would be better AI driven software by now.
Example : Early versions of Microsoft Word did a context concise of the entire document before saving the document to the hard drive.

AI (Artificial Intelligent) driven software has been used for a very long time.

Without getting too bog down in code the implementation of AI, it has been done using the very early versions of Cobol and Prolog programming code. Basically Prolog/Cobol program code uses a lot of recursion. Recursion means the software code loops on itself to find pattern matches. When a pattern is found the result is output as a user response to the question they've typed in. The use of recursion algorithms code can give very convincing results that can lead the average user to believe it is a human response.

IMHO, Supercomputing using AI is going to become a problem in the future. Skynet senarios... hmmm maybe.
No power hungry group has the right to play at the living breathing god they believe they have become.

News reporting agencies are using A.I. to produce news articles and report, for example

The Washington Post's robot reporter has published 850 articles in the past year - Digiday

Not sure how others feel about this but this scares the **** out of me. The opportunities for abuse , social and emotional manipulations are staggering.
