hey just asking. we can build a package for printing and for one click install.
is there any scripting or command language that we can do for ricoh to setup scan to folder?

For drivers and printing, the closest you'll get is a print server, though with changes made by Microsoft admin rights are now needed to install print drivers. Our solution (as we do IT support as well) has been to install the printers from the server on an administrator account, which then installs the driver. When a standard user needs to install the device, we give them an SMB link of \\servername\printername to install it. For larger accounts, we just have printers automatically installed through Group Policy.

For scanning, there's no real scripting you can do for adding the correct folder on the MFP, though you can easily script the creation of share folders (again with admin rights). It's much easier to configure scan to folder to a central location than to individual workstations as IP addresses change frequently, and small network DNS doesn't always keep up. The other advantage of a single location is you can always just create subfolders for individuals or departments so that the users can more easily find their specific files.

Whether scanning to a workstation or server, you'll want to just use a single account as the default sender and make sure that account has at minimum read/write access to the share. If using a domain account, be sure to use the format of domain\username, otherwise the MFP will try to send the files as if it were a local account.

This utility helps users set up the environment to scan documents on the MFP and send them to a folder on the PC. Also, this utility diagnoses problems with sending scanned documents and users can fix them without having to ask the helpdesk.

The 32 bit version is available fro Windows 8.1 & 10.
The 64 bit version is available fro Windows 8.1, 10 & 11.
