Scan to Folder on Server Sharp MX-3071

Hi, I am having issues with a scan to folder on a server with a Sharp MX-3071

Customer just upgraded from a MX-3100. Scan to folder on this model was working. They did have to enable SMB1 on the server to get it to work.

On the MX-3071 it tells you username or password is wrong but we have checked it multiple times. We even did a clone of just the address book and cloned it but did not work. We also made sure smb was enabled on the copier. We have not disabled smb1 on the server yet but we will try this.

Any suggestions? I will try to do a scan to folder to my laptop and see if it lets me.

    Make sure you check DNS

You might have to put the domain name in front of the username as well. They're more picky about it now for security reasons.

Sounds like the 3071 is not properly joined to the domain. Make sure that the domain name set on the 3071 does not have a spelling error or the wrong extension. As far as the extension goes, one major problem I encountered in the past is when the company has a website that uses the same name, name.net or name.com. If the primary DNS is not the domain DNS, domain.local, the scan is trying to connect to the website.
