[Dead] Canon Imagerunner 2020 - Nothing showing up on Control Panel

Copier was working all right. After turning it off and then on the next day there was nothing showing up on the Control Panel, the Copier has power. The Power light on the control panel does turn on when plugged and seems like it is the only one that lights up on the control panel. There is nothing showing at all on the display, so I cant even tell what error it is. I checked the Flat Cable connection from the Control Panel to the Board on the side and seems like it is ok.
If you have any advice or help please do share.

Apart from a blank display, does it boot up at all ? Does in initialise ?

I mean, is it just a blank display or is it dead apart form the powerlight ?

It does turn on, but it does not initialize, making sounds that the parts are running and warming up.
all it does is the light turns on when I turn the power on...that is about it

Can you boot into download mode (press 2+8 and power on) ?

JPiek, Thank You, but I tried pressing down the numbers 2 AND 8 on the Control Panel and nothing happened. It just turned on like before, it would just turn on and makes the sound like it is about to initialize and then stops. But only the light on POWER on the Control Panel is on.

Do I have to connect it to a Computer to do what you instructed?

No, just press 2and 8 and hold them while powering on.. Keep them pressed until booting in finished (if it will boot)...

Thanks JPiek, I just tried that but nothing happened.
It is just like before, where when I turn on the power button you can hear the machine run for like two or three seconds and then it stops.
Still not displaying anything.

I think you should do a Boot system error diagnostics, but you would need the manual to go through these steps and find out what is defective...
(Start at page 6 - 86, Controller Self Diagnosis > Basic Flowchart)

I've had a couple of these. In both cases it was the Main Controller 1. Replaced this board, and hey presto, back to life. But you can only fit a new one, and it must be the specific model, as they are locked to speed and set the serial number when powered on.

Also had same fault on IrAdv4025, and IrAdvC5051 which was also Main Controller 1 on both counts .... expensive hobby!

Now does anyone know where I can buy such a part for my Machine?
I checked the Board and it does have FM-1920 on it, but am not so sure where I can buy such a part.
I really need this machine to work, have had it down like this, not working for almost four months now.
