    [Dead] Faulty Flash PCB on Canon IRA C2220i

    Dear All,

    I have a 2220i that was working fine. Tried an update via the Canon server which crashed twice so I gave up.

    Switched device off, work day over. Came back in the morning, switched device back on, device took 3 minutes to boot up.

    Once on the main screen, only the copy option available but will not copy or print.

    Re-loaded system software via SST and USB, DC CON will not update.

    Flashed the Flash PCB, now device does not boot up at all. Completed all checks via SM, All okay.

    Swapped Flash PCB and device boots up fine but then errors. Is Flash PCB unique and can they be purchased ?

    Any advice would be greatly received.

      hi.if you wanna order a flash pcb you need to mail canon Europe details of mc and reason and they will set one up and send to you.
      what is the error code.there is a way to reset old pcb if its not damaged and just firmware related via service mode 3 but only certain error codes.

          My colleague had this exact same issue, turned out he mistakenly downgraded the SSW to a very early/first release version!

                                  different model different problem..

                                  START A NEW THREAD.. just because it's a canon doesn't mean the fix will be the same for your model.
