    [Error Code] IRADVC256 - E074 -002

    Hi,

have a colleague who has the above error code on a C256, he has replaced the ITB but says the error does not clear. I am getting him to check connections on the DC etc but looking at the ITB release Switch assy or the main drive assy which has the primary disengagment solenoid, seems to be alot in the SM. The machine has less than 100k on it and is only 3 yrs old, so not a heavy worker. Has anyone seen this before on this model?

First questions I ask tech , was code on printer before you arrived ?

Or code appeared after u worked on printer ?

Before the code popped up,if you have had blank copies, clean the primary disengagement solenoid SL01 found in the main drive.

If the machine is working in a hot and humid environment, the solenoid plate become sticky with time.

i hope this would solve your issue.

          Ok
Now question customer on what they experienced before code.

I agree with the above comment that the problem is within the main drive unit. I have replaced the whole unit for this problem.

              hi guys,

thanks for all the responses, luckily enough, had a scrap machine available, so took the main drive out, replaced it in the machine with the E074 and now working away like a good un!

              thanks again

Today I have Canon c351 with same error. Just remove 2 PCBs and you have access to clutch, remove sticky sponge and stick something thin between metals.
