    [Misc] iR 25xx not connecting to e-rds

    Hello everyone,

    I'm having trouble with e-RDS & iR25xx series. With many others important things out of the way, this week I'm on this.

    So far, I have :
    • updated the firmware with the latest one available on Canon Sharepoint (looks like v8603) ;
    • cleared e-rds setting (e-rds is on 1) ;
    • cleared ca-key ;
    • checked up networks setting (including proxy related stuff) ;
    • tracert & ssh a01/b01 and it work

    But nothing seems to work for the iR25XX no matter what I do, I can't get rid of the 810F200A.

    Forgot to mention that I already have 3 printers working perfectly fine at the site I'm working at

    So, what am I missing / doing wrong with iR25XX series ?

      Thank you for your reply bobburnsreb, but I'm tryin to use the embeded e-rds and not iwemc
      This those give me a hint about TLS... gonna take a look into that

        Seems like CA key in *SM* NETWORK > CERTIFICATE is way outdated ... Trying to find a way to update it

          Didn't had the time to work on it yesterday. So if anyone have any lead or know how to update the CA key let me know

            I was under the impression the key was replaced with a newer one when you update the firmware using that stupid multi-part UST style firmware.

            I've updated a couple of these that are still kicking around and no issues, e-rds connected right away.

            If you try the com-test through the counter check page it should give you the error code.

              Also, E-RDS COM-TEST will fail if the Date/Time is out of range.

                Back at it after a 2weeks covid break.
                Decided to start it from the beginning. Updated firmware again via USB (not the special SMB_v2_v3 tho, the normal one), checked network setting, date... everything's fine

                And good news ! It works now !

                Going to check if it's the firmware version or the usb vs. rj45 update that worked
                I'll update soon in case it can be of any help to someone, somedays.

                  Definitively the firmware version. Do not use the "special_SMB2_3" if you want the e-rds to work
