I only know PWD Clear in service mode.

Seems to me if firmware is loaded on usb and you enter download mode, there is a password clear listed...as well although i have never needed it.

Still nothing working, will not allow entry. Isn't there a reset in the service mode to reset board or something to that effect? Thnk there was something in the 3380's.
Anybody can think of something else, please let me know.

          Thanks

What you say is very strange.
the instructions I gave you work and delete any psw.
can you kindly put a picture of the situation you see on the LUI?

Power off/reboot the copier if you haven't already; sometimes if too many passwords attempts occur the copier wants a hard reset. I think its something to prevent hackers from remoting in and trying to crack the device.

If all that still doesn't work and you really need to get in...make sure you grab all the network settings you have and confirm the scan settings and just wipe the copier.

The answer was posted days ago. This will reset the admin id & password to default.

The default user name for the administrator is "Administrator" and the default password is "7654321"

Reinstalling the system software does not reset the administrator / login password.
