    NP6035 turning off

    Hey,

I have a customer complaining that the copier switches itself off, especially after sitting idle and then attempting to run copies through the document feeder. This results in having to remove paper in the document feeder and in the copier. I, of course, cannot duplicate this problem. I don't really know this machine so would appreciate any and all suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

    Machine protection circuit...

The only way I know that the copier will turn off it's main switch is if the AC circuits in the copier are compromised, like an open fuser or doc lamp. Hopefully there will be further wisdom displayed here by others to shed some further "illumination" on your problem

My "wisdom" will sound about the same. The only reasons the main switch would kick off are

      1) Open exposure lamp circuit
      2) Open heat lamp circuit
      3) Arcing main switch

As tempting as it is to rush out and order a new switch, it is much much more likely to be #1 or #2. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
