That's strange that the code went away after working on the fuser. The fuser has nothing to do with that error code. Might have been a fluke that reset and you are done - but I wouldn't be surprised if that code comes back again in the near future.
If the error does come back :
Check the operation of the Front Door Mount Assembly. The Absorption lever may stick on the Crank lever which assist in opening the laser shutter.sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment

Not likely old friend---since his origional problem was E100 and he posted again I think to say problem went away after working on the fuser. But,hey, who knows? You may be right. There's a little language barrier with this post.sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment

Sounds like a case of bad luck,, been having that all week myself. He worked on the fuser, and after that, the machine popped an E100.
Not related to each other, unless in his frustration, he shot the copier, missing the fuser, and hitting the laser... ;-)

The primary cover on this model doesn't actuates the shutter. I think your confused with the IR7105Comment

Brain fart....yes 7105. You have never seen the plastic collars put in wrong? It happens so often....usually spits out E-069 but i have seen other codes. I thought every tech that worked on these knew about that! Canon actually put out a bulletin about this and corrected the diagram in the manual.....its wrongComment
