Canon IR 5000 Hard Disk Clone - Help Required

I have read many posts on above topic but don't able to solve my problem

I have two Canon IR 5000 Photocopiers, one of the Hard Disk is physically damaged, both HDs were 20 GB each.

Now the only disk available work on both the machines, I have a 80 GB Branch New Disk, I have tried Norton Ghost, Acronis and Paragon Partition Manager to clone HD.

Machine starts, Canon logo displayed and half of progress bars fills then an error displayed, I have gone through the error details its suggests problem in HD

Please help me which software may I use to clone the only HD for use at other machine.

    Thanks

You have to have a good working drive to clone, he has none, so cloning is not the answer.

I have another HD of 80 GB capacity with me
Can "HDClone" will make such a duplicate copy that this new HD will boot IR 5000?
As I have already tried Ghost and Acronis, both creates Clone but that HD don't works on IR 5000

Otherwise it is possible to damage a disk and all data on it......

                    Thank you very much Gensys,
Yes I know the risk of destroying Disk and Data
I started with a fresh Disk of 80GB
used Acronic True Image Server for cloning both Hard Disks
it works fine, shows all of the partitions of source were cloned to target disk
when I Use new Disk, Machine starts, half of the progress bar fills and then machine gives
                    hard disk error

So I will try Active BootCD this evening

                      Very near to success.
Save working hdd physical data to image, note the LBA, (some thing like 39070080 sectors.?)
Now just need to cut the 80BG disk to 20GB. This function is set HPA . Utilities for this is MHDD, u can search MHDD and HPA at wikipedia for further info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Host_Protected_Area
Then copy saved image to new drive.

                        Okay
I too have another 20 GB Hard Disk with me (I can use that)
Will that work with simple duplicating?

My apologies, I misunderstood. I thought you had 2 dead copier hard drives, not one hard drive between the 2 copiers that worked. Clone away, if you can figure it out. I have knowledge of cloning, but never have applied it to copiers. I don't want to learn, as I have the tools needed to accomplish the task the proper way...

                          Good luck in your endeavor!

I didnt try on cloning hardisk method for copier use, most of them said its crap and end up wasting your time. SST is the cheapest way to load it but ofcause you must spent a little bit more time on it for majority canon machine used. Or you may order hardisk clone tool to clone hardisk directly using the tool without through computer

have u check ram it should be at least 192 mb as you said Machine starts, Canon logo displayed and half of progress bars fills ,it seems ram prob 128 mb ,because Acronis True Image works .
