I have a Canon ir3225 located in Seattle Washington. I have a Windows Server 2008R2 Print server in Oakland, CA. The 2 sites are connected by an IPSEC VPN tunnel. File and print sharing work as expected. I mean users in Seattle can open files in Oakland from a file share with no slowness or issues.
So if a user in Seattle prints a file, they print to the iR3225 that is shard from the print server in Oakland. Thus, the job travels from Seattle, to Oakland, and back to the iR3225 to print on the machine in Seattle. I have set up MANY sites like this with no issues.
If I print a 2mb PDF file it can spool to as large as 15mb, and take ages to print. The job also seems to travel extremely slow across the wire - 56kbps or less. Again, file shares and SMB work at normal speeds.
Here is an example:
Using Canon iR3225 UFRII windows x64 2.70.0.0 driver.
PCL and PS drivers are even worse.
What can I do to fix this? Thanks.
