The machine comes to a ready state then when you press the button to make a copy it gives the error E0001-0000. I have changed the fixing film, DC Controller, cleared the error in service mode, tried temp adjustments. Does anyone have any other suggestions or possibilities that could cause wrong fixing temps?

Re: Canon iradv c5051 E0001-000 error
The Fixing Drive Assembly has been known to cause E001 errors and the symptoms you describe. There's a one-way gear which slips on the shaft, resulting in no drive to the Fixing Assembly.
Part number for the assembly is FM3-5967-000. -

Problem :
When using different paper types and sizes, E001-0000/0001/0003 error codes may occur due to either the center or the ends of the fixing film heating up.
Solution :
DCON version 29.01 which comes bundled with System Software version 43.04.03 added a specification change on when the heater is turned OFF at a specific temperature. Please see the attached tech pub TP10 151.pdf. Below are the specifications set on DCON version 29.01
Center of the Thermistor is changed from 260 deg C to 255
End of the Thermistor is changed from 275 deg C to 270
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error :
E001-0000/0001/0003
Workaround :
If E001-0000/0001/0003 occur when running 20 lb paper try these setting changes:
Copier > Option > CUSTOM > TMP-TBL set to -2
Copier > Option > Image Fixing
FN-ENTMP set to -2 (if problem persists set to -4)
FX-S-TMP set to -2 (ITOP Adjust for plain paper 1)
For Heavy 1, 2, 3, or Thin paper:
Copier > Option > Image Fixing > TMP-TBLxx (Adjust the paper type that is having the issue.)
FN-ENTMP set to -2 (if problem persists set to -4)
FX-S-TMPxx -2 (Adjust ITOP for proper paper type)
Turn copier OFF / ON
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error code E001 0000 intermittently Error :
In this case, when the machine went into standby, the fixing unit temperature in the middle would drop to 67 degrees Celsius. When the copy start button was pressed, the fixing unit end temperature would immediately jump up to 260 degrees Celsius and display the Error Code E001 0000.
Workaround :
In this case, the Error Code was resolved by disassembling / re-assembling the fuser unit and re-installing it into the machine. After re-assembly the temperature never rose above 216 degrees Celsius.sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment
