Inspected the staple cartridge and it seems ok, the stapler reconises the cartridge but doesnt see the staples. When cartridge is installed the stapler runs thru the stapling process several times then says add staples. Any input appreciated.

Check the Stapler alignment interference sensor (PI116) flag for displacement. The sensor should not be blocked, when in position for stapling.

just got back from account. when the stapler is out you can see a small actuator on the front of the stapler. it is partialy hidden by a brass plate. The actuator was snaped out of place. by pressing on the brass plate i could feel it snap back into place. the actuator is hit by the front edge of the staple cartridge. Now the cartridge and the staples in it are detected. I also inspected the actuator suggested, no fault found.Comment
