    [Misc] IR 2520 Scan Option configuring to a network via TCP/IP

    Hi,

    Please be kind enough to instruct me how to configure IR 2520 scanning option to a windows network via TCP / IP.

    Auto Online/Offline:

    To use the Network Scan function, the machine must be connected to a network and separately switched online to the network.

    Auto Online:

    If Auto Online is set to “On”, the machine automatically goes online when you press SCAN/OPTIONS on the machine's control panel.

    Auto Offline:

    If the machine is connected to a network that is online, scanning may not be possible. By setting Auto Offline to “On”, the machine automatically goes offline when the Auto Clear mode initiates, or when two minutes have passed if the Auto Clear time is not set.

    scan to file

    1. Open Scan Manager on the controller.
    2. Click New.
    3. Go to the Destination Properties window.
    4. Enter a new Destination Name.
    5. Select the Type field.
    6. Select SMB.
    7. Select the System field.
    8. Enter the name of PC where the scan will be sent.
      (In some cases the system name cannot be resolved by the DNS. If so, enter the IP address).
    9. Select the Path field.
    10. Enter the name of the Shared folder to be scanned into.
    11. Verify the shared folder on the network PC (destination PC) is configured for full rights and permissions.
    12. Select the User Name field.
    13. Enter the name of a user for the shared directory to be scanned into.
      • For a Local user name: hostname\username (hostname of the destination workstation) or IP address\username (IP address of the destination workstation)
      • For a Domain user name: domain\username.

    14. Select Password.
    15. Enter the password of the user using the following format:

      • Select the Path field.

      • Select the Drop Down arrow (all the shared folders on the network PC are displayed).
      • Select the required folder (this also confirms that the user account that was provided is valid).


    16. Click OK.

    TCP/IP settings

    1. Press the Additional Functions button.
    2. Select System Settings.
    3. Type in the correct pin code for the System Manager ID.
    4. Select System Password and type in the correct password.
    5. Press the Log In ID button.
    6. Select Network Settings.
    7. Select TCP/IP Settings.
    8. Select IPv4 Settings.
    9. Select IP Address Settings.
    10. Select IP Address t
    11. Type in the correct IP address.
    12. Select Subnet Mask.
    13. Type in the Subnet Mask address.
    14. Select Gateway Address.
    15. Type in the Gateway address.
    16. Click OK.
    17. Press and hold the power button (on the control panel) until Shut Off Main Power Switch is displayed.
    18. Turn off the main power switch.
    19. Wait for the display panel to turn black.
    20. Wait for 10 seconds before turning the machine back on.

      Thanks for posting onbehalf, well followed the steps that you have listed where can i find the Scan Manager option and what is the default password for System Settings / System Manager ID does the Machine needs an additional hardware accessory to enable to use this function. If so, is there an alternative method of using the scanning option in any other way.
