Canon IR C2880i with J1 Fiery ... no SEND function?

Hi all, a few questions,

There is no selectable send function on the device and I was wondering if it is because the J1 Fiery is installed?

If so, will removing the fiery enable the send feature or is there some way to enable it with the fiery installed?...

I was under the assumption that all the IR C2880i models came with the universal send (scan to email etc) feature as standard?

level 2 service mode > copier > option > body > 3/13 > UI-SEND is probably set to 0. want it set to 1

Indeed it is... do I set that to 0?

no 1 enables, 0 disables it from showing up on the main screen

Yes that makes sense, let me double check, I could have sworn it was set to 1... I take it it will need a restart...?

it's like windows 95, no matter what you do, reboot just to make sure you don't have any issues with it coming up.

and still no send button? Do you have any other tabs than just copy? Express copy? Meap? any of those?

lvl 1 > display > acc-sts > is send a 1 or a 0
They may have pulled the kit with a license transfer on that unit if it's at 0

But the send function is still not available (I did not have to change that setting it was indeed set to 1 nevertheless I restarted the machine incase it wasn't) any ideas?

send is 0 there...

ah ok so acc-sts at 0 means the send kit has been pulled.

You are 100% correct. When we chuck out a 3380 series we always lcns-tr those licenses.
