IR7105-How to fold booklet without saddle stitching?

    ON MY Canon IR7105...

I have a 4 page letter size PDF doc, being printed on Tabloid size as a booklet. I want to fold, but I don't need staples as it is a single sheet. I tried to select it on my print dialog box. I have only a check box for saddle stitching. So it is being printed without folding.

    Can I fold without stapling?

    Thanks
    George

Have you ever seen one of these?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I do have a paper folder. But I am trying to save time by doing it in one step.

I checked HELP and saw options in Pull Down Menu that has options for folding only. But I don't have that option in my print dialog box. Only a check box for Saddle Stitching.

Any help regarding that will be very much appreciated.

Select the saddle stitching option. It will fold but not staple. The machine is smart enough to know there in no need to staple a single sheet of paper.

            Thanks.
Again, I don't want to sound like I am pushing too much. Just for future needs.

Is there a possibility for just folding without stapling a booklet of more than one sheet?

            Thanks again

No, because if you try to fold multiple sheets without stapling first they would skew and fold crooked.

I seem to recall that old style booklet makers would only fold one sheet.
But I have seen Advance 7055 fiery driver with choices for fold only

don't u need the Paper Folding Unit-G1/imageRUNNER ADVANCE
Paper Folding Unit-G1 requires the Staple Finisher-A1 or Booklet Finisher-A1

I find that if you do it copying,it will fold the 17 inch sheet without stapling, but won't do it as a print job. Just spits out 17 inch sheet unfolded. Never tried a different driver.

Im not surprised by Canuck's observation.

                      My observation today.
adv 7055 and 7270 with only a booklet maker

                      From the control panel
                      COPY
                      OPTIONS
BOOKLET ---3 choices > (1- Fold and Saddle) (2- Do Not Fold,) (3- Fold Only)

                      Copy 14 pages
Output 4 separate consequetive folded pages .

                      From the Fiery Driver
                      under finishing tab
The choice for Folding is None or SADDLE FOLD
below that is a choice to Staple on not

Remove staples from cartridges--cheat staple presence switch>put back cartridges
                        Now Stich & Fold
                        Works on W2 SADDLE
