    Canon Advance C5045 Error E-0025-0410

I am having an issue with a ADV C5045 with a error code E025-010.. The customer put the wrong toner tube in the machine, A black ctg from a C5030, they thought was the same toner, turns out its not.. Anyway when I got there the Black Door would not open, she said she had a hard time closing the door when she put the other toner in and it just ran for 3-4 min before stating "NO BLK TONER CTG" I was able to remove the wrong CtG and install the correct one it just would not go any further, Now the error Code is E025-0410 and it does not want to go away.

I have tried in service mode to get the motor to turn, its just not working. no noises occurred

Thank You for any help !

Thanks for the info, I am going back there today. The attached tool you are referring to, is it the laser cleaner tool?
I will try to rotate the Main drive in reverse and the other suggestions

The tool is fixed to the hopper assy at the back of the mc.you will need the manual really but it fits over a shaft at the rear
on the hopper assy. You turn it and it opens the hopper door. If it doesn't open you will need the drive assy for that colour .only a 10 minute job.

Yes you were correct, it was the drive assy.. when I attached the tool it just spun free and when I took it apart there was a broken gear.

          Thank You Very Much

Installed a new drive assy today, it turned normal for a few seconds then it broke the same gear again.. I am assuming that the Toner bottle is binding up somehow just not sure what can cause this issue. I am checking the manual hoping for some more guidance.
              Thank You

Is it genuine toner bottle they are using? Had this problem with katun toner bottles.

Yes, OEM Canon Toner Bottle, Still it just feel like it doesn't fit in all the way, I cant see anything that could be blocking it.
I was thinking it might be out of alignment.

Make sure it's not a bottle from a 5030 and shine a light into the hopper hole where the bottle fits in and make sure there is no a square white tab sitting up at the end of the hopper.it needs to be laid flat (ruler with a paper clip tapped on will pull it back down)

There was a Small Bottle holding tab that came up in the center of that bottle nozzel that keep the Toner CTG from going in all the way.
                          Pulled down problem resolved.

Thank You for your help. !

Had a customer do this recently - they put a GPR-31 black into the C5045.

Ended up having to get the black hopper out, that little lock was flipped up on the bottom. I couldn't get mine to move until the hopper was out and I had a new one handy (of course...)

                              Cheers
