Can you check if the ip 192.168.0.8 is really free?
You can try to install directly with a crossover cable and a laptop, so you can avoid possible network problems.

When I face this problem.I have changed to manual install.So its work fine.

usually I don't use ping - instead I open a browser and insert the ip. If the connection is done than physically everything is ok.

But ping is the same , so if you can ping it means physically is connected.

I would try another driver version.

Is this first installation ( out of box) or the machine has been networked before ?

it happend with me the same problem and i changed the driver to the latest version and it works ,also it made me mad this problem cos it was workin on pc's and on other pc's not also there was a ping and everything so i changed the driver and works fine .

Only Windows Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials.

Already tried a direct connection with a crossover cable.

I can access the remote UI in the browser and log in to change system settings.
And yes this is the first network installation.

when u open RUI on PC can u see (View the machine status) for the 2520

So u did the Manual Network set up on 2520

& under the UFR II/LT Driver it does not show 2520 as option to print
The printer name displayed in the printer driver screen is changed by settings in the printers
folder.

REMOVE UFRII/LT Driver and re-install it

Best way to print from Network is to create a TCP/IP Port with the printers IP address.
So when you start Add Printers, turn off automatic detection, Next Create New Port, Standard TCP/IP port and fill the machine's IP address.
Next choose the printer model and Finish.

But you can manually specify the port and protocol in the next screen.
Then i checked the Canon iR2520 UFRII LT in driver settings and the printer was installed

Hello everyone,
I have canon ir2520 and i am facing problem of printer #0853. i installed many driver from canon websites i am using windows 8.1 64bit operating system and also using same driver which give canon for this OS.

after some technical person guide i went to service mode for resolve this problem and clear all data. and change the state uk. and now my canon machine change whole things of that copiers. it ok. but when we change settings of this copier. like put ip address or paper size e.t.c. it done. but when i restart the machine then whole setting which i saved before restart has been changed a tried many thing to resolve this issue but no luck. can anyone tell me what will i do for resolve this issue.

Faraz, you did not mention which driver you are installing for this machine.
The latest driver for this machine is UFRII ver 21.40_W64 for 64bit Windows 8.1.
Note : If you install in USB mode, install the driver first before connecting the machine to the computer.
If you are using LAN, connect the machine directly to the computer using a CROSS connection UTP CAT5 cable.

Windows clients pc must have IP address on the same network subnet where is IR2520 and then automatic discovery works.
Alaso discovery did not work if if you have multiple IP address on ethernet adapter.
