E202 - There is an error in the detection of the CCD home position. The attempt to detect the home position fails when the CCDis moved forward.
1.Disconnect and then connect the flexible cable(Relay PCB(PCB2)-Main Controller PCB (PCB1) 64pin).
2.Replace the flexible cable.
3.Replace the CCD HP sensor (S22).
4.Replace the Scanner Motor (M21).

Thought it may have been that E202,
Love those missleading codes ,( like on iRC Model series)
especially when customer has called in to dispatch person.

is the E000202 error code same as E202?
if it the same, please send me the illustrations for these mentioned parts so that i can find them easily in the copier.
i have another out of warranty with the same problem but it is occasionally

Forgot that some Canon models post that misleading display of three zeros before actual code.
That appears to be the correct code E202
codes are different
E000 is a heat related code
E202 is a CCD Home Position Issue (as Hidius posted / there are listed steps to check-preform )
There is a shading adjustment (executed at power-on) by CCD unit-
Basic Sequence at Power-On
F: Scanner motor moves forward B: Scanner motor moves backward Light-ON: LED on CCD unit lights-on ON: When CCD HP sensor (photo interrupter type) detects
Reservation copies can be made message on Canon IR 2520
hello everyone,
my copier has a problem,
it doesn't go back to a ready mode.
whenever i make another copy it is just storing it in the system instead of printing and it keeps on saying Reservation copies can be made until when i restart the copier that is when it goes back a ready mode.
But even if i restart the copier, when i start a copy job for 10 copies it can only print out 4 copies and stop.

first remove fix unit to inspect & check connections
also check finisher trays & sensor flag for hang up

Re: Reservation copies can be made message on Canon IR 2520
hello Teckat,
thank you so much for the help.
I left the customer site but I want to go back with enough information on how to solve this problem.
NOTE: there is no finisher on this copier
please try to explain me more on how the problem could be the fixing unit, (it allows the papers to pass through)

😭
A few other models had this message, and it eventually pointed to temperature fluctuations, with no error codes.
Look at the
internal flag on paper delivery tray, make sure it's not hanging up, and has a easy release after paper passes.
