DF-701

We sold a BH454e to a customer and it turned out they didn't need the DF-701 document feeder.
I installed the DF-701 on a C364 and it codes C-C165 and C-6001.
Yes, the ribbon cable in in the correct position. I have tried installing firmware and it will not load the DF-701 version.
There is not an ADF selection page in service mode, it is supposed to select it automatically.
Does anyone know if the standard DF-701 is different than the optional DF-701?
Unfortunately we didn't test the DF on the BH454e when we set up the machine.
Any help is appreciated.

Control boards for the DF-701 are different between the C754e/754 and the C554e/554e. So they are not interchangeable. But the DF-701 as an option can go on any C224e-C554e or their B&W equals. The settings are in Sysyem2 page 2 adf settings. Emujo

On the C364 there isn't a DF selection page in service mode. I know there is on the "e" series.
I guess the question I am asking is, can the DF-701 from a BH454e be used on a C364 (non e)

You are correct, the DF-701 goes on the non e but there are no ADF settings in sys 2. Perhaps once it is installed on an e series it can't go back on a non e...but I'm only guessing. Emujo

Try putting the DF-701 back on the 454e roll firmware back to G00-C8 , then put back on C364 and update FW to G00-72.

I have the same problem but with 2 machines a c554 and a c284 both work with a DF-624 on them both code putting DF-701 on them have 2 DF-701. Have tried many firmware, changing Hdd, formating SSD and blanking the board but keep getting errors. As suggested put the DF-701 on a c454e and put the firmware back as far as it could go then put back on the C554 with the same result.
