RU-513 compatibility

Hi Folks, I need to install an FS539 on bh 550i but have only RU-513 from 8 series machine.
I know RUs are different numbers but will it work until correct RU for i-series arrive?

It may seem strange & confusing to you but I think it's a legitimate question no matter how many posts someone has. Better to be sure. I don't have 5000 posts but I've been in the copier business for 40+ years, I sometimes ask questions on this forum that I could of found answer on my own but it's much faster just to ask. It's not like this forum gets a lot of posts anymore, maybe a few a day so no harm in asking!

I downloaded install manuals on both RU-513 for 4, 8 series and RU-513 for i-series. They are not the same but main parts looking identical. So I assume they should match physically. The question was about electrical connections as they may not be exactly the same.

I'd say that you are judging him - it's a perfectly sensible question - I wouldn't automatically assume that an FS539/540 - RU513 from an 8 series, would work on an i-series. I've been fixing copiers for more than 40 years and still make mistakes, and ask questions....

Outside of your personal opinions can you professionally confirm that RU-513 for bizhub 558 part number A87JWY2 will work without problems in place of RU-513 for bizhub 550i part number A87JWY5 ?
