    Konica c227 toners

    Hi all

Can anyone let me know what the 'A' means for toners like TN221AM and TN221AC?

I just received loads.... But most my c224 series just say TN328M, TN328Y, TN328C etc...

Also, do the C227 series have the dev replenishing system like the c224/c258 series?

    TIA

It means they come with 50% toner, not full.

Half toners should have H in name and are about 270 grams. As per C227 only K toner has developer in it.
A means most likely Aftermarket as stupid as it sounds

Officially, "A" stands for "alternative" because of different ingredients mixture from original recepie.
It is apllied only for color toners.
Black toners for all series are full now.
          Colors toners for 4, 8 & i series are still H.

Understand, so KM in their indefinite wisdom decided to put alternative toner in their own super expensive color developer units...hmmm
Looks to me they play unfair, it's win-win situation for them. Either they make more money selling alternative toner on the prices of original or they sell more developer units.
            F. them all!

BhC227/287 machine toner cartridge has no chip, so I tried to get TN615 toner refilled to use it and they are fine
So I think TN221AM and TN221AC can be used for BhC227/287
