    Konica Minolta Service History

    Hiya,

Just wondered if anyone could help me with the steps to access the service mode on a KM C227 & KM 224 to print out the service history. Tried a couple of times but got stuck...

    Many Thanks
    J

What you want is called the management list.
Its under service mode > List Output > Machine Management List.
You can print it or if the machine is unable to print it can be save to USB memory.

Use the display keypad button instead of the screen sliding over on the C224 non e model.
The manual omits small details here and there ...

    Whatever

service history is only on paper by the servicing techs, the machine only keeps track of jams and codes. there is no "rollers replaced on..." only the current counts (if the last tech did due diligence and reset the appropriate counters for the consumable that was replaced.)

you can print a machine management list that will list all the codes, jams and errors by date and meter count but does not show how the codes were alleviated. that is for the servicing company to perform
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

Did not even think along that lines you are right. It takes some experience to paint a picture of the machines history using it.
It does show new article detection but not in any useful way.

You can get an idea of the quality of service but not what has been done.
@Copybox are you an end user or a service provider? Why would you find service history useful?

I use MML meticulously on everyday basis. It is great to test machine and I save a scan later in office with customer's data. We are small so no worries other techs messed up with counters or so

Thanks Allan, whats the 927 sequence? Is that the password to get into service mode?

We are an SP, dealing mainly with Canon but have been asked by one of our clients to service some old KMs which they wish to retain alongside the new Canons

9272927292729272 would be the CE password.
MML is the Machine Management List. Will give you an idea of the past health of the machine.

Hiya, I have a couple of messages from you from 2021!

If you are a London based contracter (or travel to London) we would be happy to work with you. We don't really like the idea of sourcing calls to other dealers as this creates too much exposure.

We are a small firm, with a solid Canon base but want to diversify by adding in KM, but finding independant engineers to service KMs are extremely difficult.

                      Cheers
                      Jason
