Konica Minolta BizHub C3350: Scan to Folder stopped working

    Konica Minolta BizHub C3350: Scan to Folder stopped working

    The Scan to Folder function has stopped working on my Konica Minolta BizHub C3350. I have checked the permissions on the destination folder. I also tried following this guide:

    How to setup SMB scanning on the Konica Minolta Bizhub copier to scan to a Windows Share – Lyle Epstein's Systems Engineer Blog

    But I do not have Network->SMB Setting->Print Setting

    I only have

    KM.jpg

    I'm therefore unable to enter the Windows Workgroup which I think might be the issue.

    Can anyone help please?

    What is the detail on the error looking at the log on the machine?

      never use smb print, its a huge waste of memory.
      printing should be done on port 9100 by IP address, not antiquated protocols.
      why would you try smb printing, so it publishes the print queue in the workgroup?
      im sorry for being so adamant about it, its just i have fixed so many print issues over the years with simply using a proper static IP address.
      we are not in windows 98 land anymore
      We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

          I am not printing with SMB. I am trying to setup Scan to Folder.

          I was just following the steps in this guide:

          How to setup SMB scanning on the Konica Minolta Bizhub copier to scan to a Windows Share – Lyle Epstein's Systems Engineer Blog

          In step 8:

          "8. Now still under the SMB Setting, select Print Setting. Then in the Workgroup field enter in the NETBios Domain name or the Workgroup in CAPS. In this example my Server\Workstation is joined to a domain called PS. Then click OK."

                This sounds like it's potentially an authentication issue with the SMB server. If it stopped working without any changes to the settings in the Konica Minolta, it could be due to recent windows updates that have stopped SMB1 and NTLM v1 due to security issues.

                I had this similar issue and was resolved with changing the SMB authentication type. Network settings --> SMB Setting --> Client Setting

                Change the SMB Authentication setting to NTLM v2

                            Ok. Try this:

                            On the computer:
                            Right click the folder being scanned to, Properties, Sharing tab, Advanced permissions. Add your dedicated scan user to the list if it is not here. Give Full Control. Double check the Security tab while in here.
                            Control panel, Program Features, Turn Windows Features On and Off, find SMB V1 and check it. Windows will set needed file and ask to reboot.
                            Make sure Network Type is set to "Private". Start, Settings, click Network, change the setting. Don't remember exact steps here.

                              you have distributed file system checked, is there a reason why?
                              its not typical.

                              also, have you tried to see what folders show up as shared from another computer?
                              if you cant see it from another PC neither can the copier.
