    Konica c3351 Replacing MFP Board

    Hi, in unfamiliar territory here.

Have a Konica c3351 that's been printing/copying blank pages every time someone goes to use it. Checked all the consumables and everything's fine, gone to replace the MFP board and its coming up with the error 6901.

The MFP Board I put in is a used one from a different machine, would this be where the issue lies? Or is there a certain procedure you have to follow when replacing the MFP board.

    Thanks.

C6901, C6911(1) Contents(2) Procedure1. In [Service Mode] -> [System 2] -> [Option Board Status], set the DSC1 and DSC2 to [Unset].2. Turn OFF the main power switch, disconnect and then connect the power cord. Wait for 10 sec. or more after connect the power cord, and turn ON the main power switch.

the black pages are more likely from a bad image unit but in the meantime try the above.

also konicas dont like swapping boards without punishing you.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Thanks very much, managed to get rid of this error. But the new MFP board throws up a message saying incorrect imaging unit installed for all 4 of them, is there any way around this?

was it the same exact model the donor board came from? check the machine/type booting to a firmware stick to make sure there is no "FF" entry
can there be 2 harnesses swapped?
did you swap over the eeproms from the original suspect board?

There most certainly a procedure for replacing an mfp board.

I would suggest you obtain a manual and follow the instructions in it.

KM are fussy when it comes to fitting used boards!
