No color on Macintosh (Sonoma 14.2.1) on Bizhub c224

Since upgrading to MacOS Sonoma (14.2.1) I am no longer able to print in color. There is no longer an option in the print settings that allows you to select Grayscale/Color. There is no application that allows color printing on my Mac. The printer is fully updated with firmware. My contract vendor has no idea what the problem is... no mac experience.

follow this guide and you cant go wrong. Mac: How to change default printer settings | Pirate Ship Support
you will be able to see the default options.

make sure the driver is correct.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

looks like driver support stopped at 10.15 so not surprising some compatibility issues

Thank you very much for this information. I like the CUPS interface better than the Konica Admin. However, the color settings that are missing are not part of either configuration. They do appear in the Konica Admin panel, but have no effect when changed. I believe it is a driver problem and am not sure what to do.

Thank you very much for responding. I believe you're correct. The removal was in direct correlation to the OS upgrade. The setting was there and then disappeared. Neither Apple nor Konica have anything to say about it. It still functions properly on my wife's PC, or course...

Use the CUPS interface to install the latest PPD do not use the installer.

OK, I think I know what you mean and where to find it... Thank you very much for the input. Hopefully, I can come back with questions. Thank you, again!

If you are able and willing, would you please help me figure out which of these files I should install using CUPS as you've described? Thank you very much, in advance, for your time and assistance.

Well... I wish I could say that I knew what I did to resolve this. I suppose it might have been one more attempt to install the driver with a slightly different setting, but... either way, I'm able to print in color now.

Thank you all for your help and time. This place is a great resource.

im glad you got it to do color.
the problem is that model has been discontinued for a while so there was no need to develop newer drivers.
i had a customer install parallels on his mac and ran windows 7 in it and would print through that because no driver was avail for his version at the time.

just offering an alternative solution for a unsupported, discontinued model.
