Konica Minolta Bizhub C454E Developer unit leakage

Hi,


My problem started with the printer started to print blank at top of the A4 pages. This was a result of black developer leaking and falling down to the laserunit glass blocking the laser.
I have installed a new black drum and cleaned the laserunit and inside of printer from developer. After that it printed OK for a few hundred prints but now i have the same problem again. Developer everywhere wich have leaked down to the laserunit and blocking the laser.
I think it is developer and not toner because it will stick to a magnetic screwdriver...


I cant understand where the developer is leaking from because there is some developer on the gears but it does not seem to be coming from inside of the gears.
Could you please help me understand what is wrong. If i need a new developer or is the leak because of someting else?

is the upper left duct clogged?
also any dv unit that leaked on me i just replace it and warranty it.
if no warranty its the cost of business we are in.
just to cover all bases id remove the HV and clean the springs/terminals and look for any small cracks on the plastics or the board.
if it is an HV leak you may just fix it by disassembly and cleaning.
either way id replace the dv unit.

Replace dev and drum, clean inside, replace toner filter. Other than that you need tech who knows KM machines. Don't forget to put only OEM toner into machine.

I second what Synthohol said. There is a jig available to clean out the suction duct work . I'm attaching the bulletin you just pull out toner filter , insetert the jig and hook your service vacuum to.

Any consumable that is overlife can make the DV unit fail, for example, if the magenta drum is overlife, it needs replacing, the k dv will keep on failing until the other units that are overlife are replaced
