    [Misc] Turning on Ram Disk Mode TA 305

    I have a Ta 305 that I haven't figured how to turn on "Ram Disk Mode ". In the FRPO status section ( service status page) it shows that it is off, but I haven't found how to turn it on. Blond momunt or ??? During some print jobs the client only gets the first page/set then it prints out "Error" not enough ram, or something like that. ugge,
    Some times it just feels like I am getting too old for this, other days I rock!
    Thanks G

    I'm pretty sure that there isn't an FRPO settings page for the KM-305, so you'll have to send it as Prescribe commands, i.e.:

    To change the host buffer:
    !R! FRPO H8,64;EXIT;
    !R! FRPO S5,2;EXIT;
    !R! FRPO M6,10;EXIT;

    To change the network release timeout:
    !R! FRPO J2,12;EXIT;

    =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Without having one in front of me, i know you can go it either through system menu or the web page. I've never had to use FRPO commands to do it. However, if you're not seeing where to enable it, you may need to add memory first. I don't recall if this model is that way.
      Hope that helps !

        You need to add memory, then it shows up under system menu.

          Left the planet for a while and back for a very short visit. READ YOUR MANUALS.

          the basics must be checked for first.

          RAM disk mode must be enabled. RAM disk mode can be used when optional memory has been installed

          pg 251

          When optional memory is installed, a RAM disk can be created and its size can be set.
          Creating a RAM disk makes it possible to print from a Job Box.

          RAM Disk Setting: Off, On
          RAM Disk Size: Setting range varies with memory balance settings
