    [Error Code] Memory Full Message

Anyone experiencing memory full errors, seems to be mostly on the 2 series so far. What we have found is once KFS is turned off it stops happening. These errors seem to lock up the machine. So far tech services been not much help.

    Re: Memory Full Message

It happened once to me during initial setup. Next day the problem went away. It did seem to happen after submitting the KFS access code. The memory light kept blinking and the machine displayed memory full when I tried to make copies.

In other cases we have replaced main boards on those models to address memory full messages.

I don't know if this is relevant to your machine issue...

Some of the old Ricoh model machines would display Out of Memory Error when using SMB scan-to-folder.
After MFD hardware was ruled out,our Techs found that the randomly sent SMB pages would not access the destination folder over the network.
House cleaning of the destination SMB scan-folder can cause similar related issues.

For every machine you place on KFS, UPDATE THE FIRMWARE! I can not stress this enough. You can do so remotely overnight when the machine is online on KFS. All my techs, at one time or another, have called looking for a solution. The first thing I have asked everyone of them is "Did you update the firmware?" If the answer is no the next thing they hear is CLICK! It has always been important with Kyoceras to keep the firmware up to date, however with equipment on KFS, outdated firmware can, and will, hose main boards. ALWAYS update the firmware to the latest for Kyocera equipment. Hey, its free.

I've never really understood why firmware becomes outdated. It was good enough when it put in the first time, if it isn't causing any problems I don't see why it needs to be done although I generally do it anyway.

Sometimes problems become apparent after the initial release and these have to be addressed. In the case of the Kyocera machines on KFS, every time a new enhancement is introduced in the Fleet Services program, corresponding enhancements have to be added to the equipment to make them compatible. I will, however, concede that some frivolous appearing updates have magically corrected "unacknowledged" problems.

I found the thread I started here when I had this problem:
