    TA 4012i Fuser Unit

I have a interesting problem in replacing a fuser unit in a TA 4012i. I ordered the FK-7125, 302V693052 as per the parts manual. It doesn't fit. Kyo parts stated there was a mistake in the parts manual and the FK-7125 only fits in the TA3212i. They could not give me the correct part number.

Has anyone else run into this? Anyone have the correct part number?

We are not online with Kyocera so I cannot search for any bulletins.

    Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks Kuby,

That is for the US (110) VAC. I am in Ireland so the part number would be different. and that is not for the 4012i it will only fit the 3212i.

          Hi Kuby,

Yes I see this but still it is for the US not Europe. Thank you for your effort, much appreciated.

            Re: TA 4012i Fuser Unit

There are three fusers listed in the parts manual.

            302V693042 - FK-7127 120v
            302V693052 - FK-7125 230v 240v
            302V693062 - FK-7126 100v

            Hope this helps

But you stated that Kyocera said there was a mistake in the parts manual..SO....?

Also have you looked on the old fuser for any numbers. On most of them there is a FK# that refers you to a part number.

Per the latest release of the Parts manual (Revision 9) the numbers that Kuby listed are correct. It shows the part number for 230/240V as an FK-7125 part number 302V693052. Manual also indicates part is the same for both the 3212i and the 4012i.

That doesn't look like enough characters for a Kyocera part number. Try throwing in an extra "V" ... 302V693040 Fuser FK7127

Can you possibly explain why the part you ordered doesn't fit? Maybe show us a photo of how it doesn't fit? This isn't making very much sense as I haven't located a single thing that indicates there is a different fuser. Besides, if you pulled an FK-7125 from the machine and it was working, then it proves that it isn't only for the 3212i, or is there something I'm missing?

Perhaps post the serial number of the unit. As everyone has said, the 4012/3212 use the same fuser, here is a chart for the listed world regions:

                          Hi all,
I went back to the client again today. My service manager had ordered another FK7125 and sent me out with it. This one fitted and had no problems. I returned with the old fuser and wen to compare it with the first one we received but he had already sent it back. He told me he ordered it using the machine serial number this time.

No answers why it would not fit as it is a easy procedure.

I want to thank all for your feedback and assistance. Hopefully one day I'll be able to contribute some information also.
