Kyocera P3060dn User and Password Reset

    Hello guys,
I recently took over 3 of these units at a client that had an issue with their IT and as he quit on the spot he left these locked. Last year Kyocera removed all the firmware downloads for independent distributors like myself, I am assuming in order to reset the Admin user and password I will need the firmware correct? The printers are printing with WSD instead of IP which makes it very glitchy and doesn't show the full options of the OEM driver, but of course can't access settings without wiping the existing credentials that are gone with that person. Any help will be much appreciated, thank you!

Default should be Admin and Admin if that dosnt work try the instructions below.

On the printer go to User/Job Account.
Use 6000 (speed of machine then 00) for both the user name and password
        Select User Login set.
Select Local User List - From here you should have 2 options Admin and DeviceAdmin
Select Admin then press right untill you are given the option to edit the password. Once you have changed that you should be able ro use Admin and the new password to login to the command centre.

I tried it and did not work, I guess I'll have to find the firmware for these and factory reset them if I can access. Thank you though for the input!

I've never seen firmware factory reset any machine. You might be able to put it on the network and send it the Prescribe reset command.
              Hope that helps !

I can get them to print using WSD protocol, but if I'd need to change any settings it's not possible as the ones that bring up the command center still will not give me access. The prescribe command by downloading the LPR utility? Thank you

Yep I use IC Link. Run the installer to see if it finds it on the network, or print a status page. You don't need to change anything on the machine to use the KX driver and get it printing to the IP address.
                  Hope that helps !

"Use 6000 (speed of machine then 00) for both the user name and password"

Its a bit of a pain, but instead of 6000, try Admin with a capital 'A' for user name and password. Everything else Mumblez laid out should do the trick.
