Kyocera ECOSYS M5526cdw print issues using KX print driver universal.

I have a client who has a weird printing issue with their Kyocera. They have used multiple drivers and no results have shown. I will attach the pictures here as an attachment. One of the documents is an PDF. They are using ADOBE PDF to print the documents. Any help would be greatly appreciated. They are using the KX Universal print driver 8.4.4205, they have tried multiple drivers and same issue still occurs. Any settings i can change on the copier or the driver? Also what is the recommended driver to use for this machine? I have tried multiple steps by changing the drivers and did not work.

personally i don't think it is a driver issue. i think the issue is the image itself, on the first image. on the image. check to see where the power plugs in. is it on a strip? battery backup?

Looks like it could be an issue of using the wrong color table. I run into users doing graphic design that print from adobe illustrator and photoshop, normally the printer decides how to handle printing, but in order to have printed color match what shows on the screen they have to print it properly. By default it would print RGB and my users end up needing it to print CMYK U.S. Coded SWOP V2
Try to see if you can print the document CMYK if possible.

Specifically these users ore on Mac devices and just adding the printer doesn't allow them to choose the correct print method. I need to manually install Mac kyocera drivers and then manually select the correct model printer KPDL Driver. If its on PC you may be able to just switch the driver to KPDL (The post script driver)

Could also possibly help to install the driver for the model instead of just the universal driver. Kyocera.info has those drivers if you need em.

These are Kyoceras most basic colour engine, and with that it has limited capabilities. There are no colour tables to swap and there is no tone curve adjustment. All you have is registration and calibration available in the maintenance mode. Have you tried printing these files on another 5526 for comparison? Might quickly resolve the “am I wasting my time with this” question.

Print testfile from USB for output which is NOT effected by print driver and compare.

In addition to the USB, I always use my own laptop to make some test prints. This will ensure you are using the correct driver and it is setup properly. If I can not get a good print from my laptop I will turn to the machine print engine. In this case it is a more rudimentary engine that has little in the way of calibrations, so cleaning and parts. A few times I have had to throw my hands in the air and say "it is what it is." I don't like to operate that way but sometimes you must.

You could try loading the installer and selecting Maintenance and installing PDF language or trying out the KX V4, which works on Windows 8 and up. Thirdly install foxit reader to see if that reader interprets the PDF better.

Exact same model or a different Kyocera Engine? If it was the same model at least you can easily eliminate the tr belt, drum dev unit as a package by swapping them between machines.
