[Misc] Kyocera Ecosys M2540dn scanning issue

    Hello everyone,
The Kyocera Ecosys M2540dn is connected to the computer (Windows 11 Pro) via USB cable.
Everything was working normally until last week when the Kyocera QuickScan (software for scanning) showed us an error saying, "A problem occurred during scanning!" And it just won't scan.
The printing is working fine, but not the scanning. (See attached file.)
I have tried removing the device software and TWAIN driver and doing a clean install, but with no luck.
I have also tried updating the firmware of the device, but the problem persists.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

Had this happen to a M2540dn, that they updated their ISP. Had one that was working and ATT came out and installed a NEW modem/router and could never scan again. ATT said they did not change anything. RIGHT Don't think it is the same issue but ask anyway. Ended up using the Kyocera Print Center to get it to scan.

Do a fresh install on another computer or laptop. This will confirm if you have an issue with the pc or with the device. Have you tried a network connection and SMB or FTp scan?

If I recall correctly there is a place in the scanning application in which you can right-click, then choose "non-secure devices". Until you make that selection it doesn't work.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Today another client has encountered the same issue on a Kyocera Ecosys MA4500ix connected to the network, with software scanning: Kyocera Print Center.
I think Kyocera Print Centre only works with a network connection.

Installed on another laptop: same issue.

Scan to Folder (SMB) tested ok, but the user wants to use a USB connection, not a network connection!

I am unable to locate this option on the Kyocera QuickScan app. Can you please show me? Thanks

That's the problem with USB. When it's not working, there's no way to troubleshoot it.
                Hope that helps !

Try the usb connector in another computer port. It may re-establish a connection.

throw the usb in the trash. put it on the network and let it bump. scan via usb always has issues.
