Customer completely ran machine out of black toner, so after replacing with new toner I still get the message that the toner is empty. The error message locks out service mode and I cannot perform developer refresh. I thought maybe if I replaced the black developer the machine might recognize that the toner needs to be added. Anyone seen this before? is there another solution? Thanks

Open and close the rear door and the waste toner door. If either one of these is not closed properly, the machine will recognize the add toner before the open door. Open and close all doors and make sure each one is closed properly and that should solve the issue. -

This happens every single time the top cover is opened. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes I'll have to keep watch for this, as customers change their toners on this model. Could be a repeating problem. ThanksComment
