    taskAlfa 2554ci

    HI,

    Is it possible to print delayed with an code using the driver for it?
    not much experience on this model, customer wants to know. . .

    anyone?

      You can set up a user box, then send the print jobs to the box. When you're ready to print those documents you can go to the machine/that box and print any or all of them. For the sake of convenience, I recommend passwording the box, not the documents. If you password the box, then the documents can be printed as a group. If you password each document, then you must enter a password for each document.

      Private Print passwords each document, so is less user friendly. =^..^=

              Job accounting will not delay print, it will just require a code to print. BC is correct (as usual) with using one of the job storage functions like Private Print.

                      Job accounting can delay the print until the user enters the code on the display panel if set up this way.
                      With Private Print the user can choose when and/or what documents they wish to print out in a guarded manner. It is done through the KX print driver.

                      With Job Accounting everyone has to use a code for most all things all the time. In my experience, most customers have used job accounting as a means to control who gets to print and copy in color. That's it.
