M2535dn firmware update with Net Viewer

    Hello,

I have a Kyocera Ecosys M2535dn on one of our sites with quite old firmware version 2PL_2000.003.032.

Trying to update it with Kyocera Net Viewer, I always get the error "version check failed" (translated).

I tried both firmware 4.107 and 5.109 from here:
Kyocera ECOSYS M2535dn Firmware - BesLand

Also I'm not quite sure whether to start with DL_CTRL.2PL or DL_ENGN.2PM since I can only select one at a time.
But I get the same error no matter what I try.

Does someone have experience updating this model remotely?

    Hi,
Firstly, get proper firmware files. You should look for ECOSYS_M2535dn_v.05.05.0020_(2017-10-12) archive.
Then, use the DL_NWDL.2PN file when selecting a firmware file in NetViewer.
    Good luck.

what about just updating it on the machine itself?

        • Format USB drive with FAT32
        • Copy firmware files to the USB drive
        • Turn the machine off.
        • Insert the USB stick into the slot below the control panel (next to the power button).
        • Turn the machine on.
        • Wait a few seconds, and the firmware should start updating.
        • Once the firmware update is complete, turn the machine off.
        • Remove the USB stick & turn the machine on again.
