[Misc] Cannot connect to our Kyocera TASKalpha5053ci. with WiFi

The Kyocera TASKalpha5053ci. is connected by wire to our network as are all workstations. I would like to use my Macbook wirelessly.

I am on the network and show connection to the
Kyocera and the Kyocere indicates my notebook is connected (it "see" me). When I try to send a document, it shows that it is in the queue but the printer does not start. The indicated status is "Printernot started" or something to that effect - I am home.

Suggestions of what I may be missing?

    Thank you,
    Todd

Did you go to Kyocera's site and download the Mac driver or did you just let the Mac set it up? You have to load the Kyocera Mac driver for that model, do not let the Mac set it up with it's own driver.

No, I did not load the Mac driver. Where can I find that?

Will I need to delete anything on the Macbook?

      Many thanks for the help.

Yes, I uninstalled the previous printer, went to the Kyocera site and dowloaded the latest installer for a Macbook. Everything works perfectly as far as the green light come on and the project is sent to the printer (yellow light while sending).

The error message is "Printer is not responding".

          Mysterious...

Setup the port to be tcp/ip
Type in the IP address of the copier it should find the correct ppd driver than you have to add any options

Also want to make sure you use LPD (Line Printer Daemon) or it's going to ask for credentials for no reason.
