Copystar CS5053CI C7404 error

This si a strange one I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on. Had a machine for lease return that I was pulling good parts from and installing older stuff to return with. (they tested fine in their original machine but were high use.) I installed a yellow developer and was greeted with a C7404 error. Installed the original and error did not go away. Updated F?W as directed in the manual and still no dice. Tried another used yellow dev unit I had had in stock with no change. Called Kyocera and ran thru their scenarios to no avail. Anyone got some ideas on this?

Have had similar case with dk unit.(C790x)
Bent pin from unit breaks drum developer relay pwb + feed image pwb
Exchange from all 3 parts together needed
What do you see at U117 and U984?
Missing all serialnumbers or yellow only?
All empty ---> drum developer pwb broken
What do you see at U122?
SN from Belt or not?
No serialnumber from belt also ---> feed image pwb broken + drum delevoper relay needed

By the way: don`t use DV-8550 instead of DV-8560

Have had similar case with dk unit.(C790x)

By the way: don`t use DV-8550 instead of DV-8560

Just checked when I got into the shop. All serial numbers present and accounted for. Also checked to make sue it was a DV-8560. Wondering if a new Dev will knock some sense into it, but don't want to burn a new unit unit to test.

This is the board under the Drum/ Dev section correct? These connectors are female not male. The dev connector is male and has no bent pins.

i don`t know why, but someting went wrong during mounting from the new or used dv unit.
From now on the system won`t recognize any new yellow dv unit and you want to find why.
I would start with drum developer relay pwb, the 1. pwb for drum + dv controlling.
1 additional question: does the yellow dv units are working in the other system?
Assemble dv unit, start up with open front cover and/ or conveying unit, enter maintenance mode and check serial numbers and counters.
2. question: did you unplugged the power plug from the system or wall outlet before start from work?

--> are the counter readings are logical or not
--> same for history by U985, runtime by U157

The DV unit works in other machines without issue. The serial numbers show up for the drum installed. Will look at history when I get back to the shop.

you do not have problems with drums, sn from drums not needed anymore, serialnumbers from dv units needed. visible by U984, history by U985
