ECOSYS P6021 "Check the toner container" error

Have a new customer that has a P6021cdn that has a message on the screen "Check the toner container". Said the replaced the toners and the waste bottle and the message is still there. Went and reseated everything and the message will not go away. Was going to download the firmware on a flash drive and see if it will take new firmware. Any help would be appreciated. Never seen this before or this model.

Did you happen to try the back door ? I've seen these with messages that won't clear because the door is open, but it doesn't say that on the display. Also do a search on here. I seem to recall rotating the gear on the cartridge or something like that.

Hopefully not the very old Gemini nightmare problem.
Back door is a good start, but if the right gear from the toner cover is out of position, the switch behind the HV PWB wouldn`t be activ and this message is coming up.
Easier solution:
1. remove all cartridges and close the cover

Gemini will start without cartridges

2. mount each cartridge one by one with same procedure
3. when the message is coming up again, check the drive from this cartridge for correct position

compare with well working one

for better understanding i attach the very old bulletin

Thanks I will try these suggestions and let you know. Yes I have tried the back door as I remember seeing this fix on another machine problem.

have you cleaned the waste toner area? specifically the spout.

Waste toner bottle? I've done a few lid gets damaged and it moves forward when you shut the waste toner door.
