    Kyocera Net Viewer Questions

    Good Evening All.

I just started using kyocera net viewer again, a year away from kyocera's....
What are the common things that get turned off on the copier, by IT or customers! Not allowing netviewer to access it.
I had a list but it has been deleted. :-(((

Example I tried to access a TA3501, my net viewer couldn't find it. So I 917 it, and couldn't transfer scan to email setting.

Any help would would be great!

    Have a great weekend

    Thanks in advance

As far as I know, you can't export scan to email config using U917. For NetViewer check SNMP and credentials (if not default). Also, make sure Your NetViewer version is compatible with Your device. I always download the one from download section of the newest Kyocera device. I am from Europe though.

      Re: Kyocera Net Viewer Questions

I haven't used Net Viewer in a number of years, but I can share a few things:

*a new version of Net Viewer is released with each new set of models, so the version changes several times each year.
*each time the version changes, so does the functionality & features. Each family of machines is a little different, so it's an ongoing learning process to successfully use Net Viewer.
*if you're doing IT work every day, it's no problem. It will be easy for you. In my position I used it once a month maybe, and it seemed that I needed a new version every time I opened the utility. For me, it was a PITA.

If there was a way for the encryption and basic utility operation could stay standard for any length of time, it could be quite user friendly. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks, yes I have the most current version.

I just remember customers IT turn off different things, and net viewer and web access won't work.
