The machine is noticing that certain pixels of the image are always black. The most obvious conclusion is that whatever originals your customer is running are bleeding onto the slit glass, and that it just needs cleaning frequently.
The official word from Kyocera is that the copyboard glass and slit glass cannot be cleaned with alcohol, because it will remove an "antistatic coating" on the glass. More practically it's just ridiculous to ask customers to dry wipe the slit glass. I just doesn't do any good. Plus the customer has a hard time even seeing ink spots.
For customers that get this indication I recommend using alcohol wipes, and have had no negative consequences. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

What does KM expect you to do when some ink doesn't wipe off, throw it away and buy a new glass (or machine)?Comment
