    Kyocera 4800w saying offline

    Hey Guys,

I have a Kyocera 4800w that shows that it is offline. I have pinged the machine so i know it is being seen on the network and everything on the printer itself shows ready and no error lights on it but still shows offline. Have rebooted the printer and let it come up to ready also made sure that the print server is on and the remote manager is on and i am logged in and it sees the printer just shows offline. I have even unistalled the printer and reinstalled it and still the same thing. This account is 5 Hrs away one way. Need some help

    Thanks,
    Jedavis

I'd bring my laptop, and attempt to print via crossover cable. At that point you know whether it's a hardware or network issue.

If you are able to print from your laptop, I would look at cabling and switches next. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Blackcat,

Thanks for the input on this matter. I think I have resolved the issue. The customers IT guy had not loaded the Proprietary port driver you need to install on Windows first before installing the actual printer driver and not use the built in TCP/IP Port.

      Thanks again, Jedavis
