    Tray switching during printing TASKalfa 4550ci

    I have a TASKalfa 4550ci, setup as follows Tray 1: A4, Tray 2: A3, MP tray: Leterhead paper.

    My problem is when the customer is printing and Tray 1 runs out of paper, the machine auto switches to use the paper in the MP tray, which I do not want. It does not do this if it machine is in copy mode. Is their a setting I can switch on/off to prevent this in the machines System Menu??????

      try this system menu, printer,auto tray switching,set to fixed.

          Or you can designate the MP Tray as "Letterhead" media type, then default the driver(s) to "Plain" media type instead of "Any"
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Try setting the print driver from auto to tray 1 in the printer folder.
