    [Misc] FS-9530DN calling for MK

Calling to install an MK even after a kit was installed. Kyocera says istall a new kit... Any other way around it?

You have to get your kyocera rep to the location or have the help line remote in to reset the counter

I think you can send a prescribe command to clear the counter.

I think you just set the developer and it's good, no?

You have to tell the machine a maint. kit was installed. You can to this through the service menu, but I don't remember exactly where.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success

Thanks everyone for your response. We contacted Kyocera and the response was that we have to install a new MK. They say there is no way to do it otherwise. If you remember the code to reset it it will be welcome. thanks again.

No way around it other than to install a new kit. The correct sequence is-- unplug the machine, install ALL components, then plug the printer in and run developer in service mode, otherwise an entire pm kit will be for not (will still have install MK message).

I wish I would have known that before we installed that MK. Thank you for your help.

if kyocera are saying replace it with another one, do it and send the faulty one back under warranty with the reason.

Thanks for the help. I just found out the guy that installed the MK may have not clear maintenance code U251.
I'm going to go and run that code before I do anything else. After that(if it works) I'll beat him up!!
