    Kyocera NetViewer - Authentication Failed

    Hello

We have multiple Triumph Adler devices (5505 and 3505).
I would like to manage them via the NewViewer.

When I try to connect to the device via Netviewer, it asks me for a password.
No matter what username or password I enter the authentication fails.
(I've changed the default Admin password and also added an second admin-user).

We have PaperCut installed on the TA device. The users have to log on via a PIN or a swipe card.
Could this interfere with the Kyocera Netviewer?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hello Tobias,

Normally it's just "Admin" as the Username and also "Admin" as the password.

It this doesnt Work, try 5500 on both or 3500.

    Let me know the progress.

    BTW: I'm working for Triumph-Adler.

    Regards,

    Paddy

Re: Kyocera NetViewer - Authentication Failed

Have only had this problem once. Replaced a machine (TA250ci) from another dealer and wanted to transfer the address book and user codes from old machine to their new 3050ci using net viewer. Wasn't able to login through the web interface nor net viewer. Decided for the heck of it to go to the MFP itself and turn off SSL (The admin credentials and 2500 credentials worked via the panel). After SSL was set to OFF, I could log into the web interface and had no problems through net viewer. The machine was sent back on lease and haven't had the problem since. I just accepted that it worked and didn't get a chance to figure out why.

We installed 3 3551ci's and are getting the same error when connecting to one of them. The other two work fine. I've tried Admin & 3500 which are in the user section of the system menu as well as setting up a new admin. I did try to disable SSL as mentioned above, but it didn't work. Any ideas are appreciated.
          Hope that helps !

I figured it out. You can't disable any of the WSD protocols & keep KM Net Viewer working properly.
            Hope that helps !
