    cartridge chip reset

I have 4 or 5 black toner cartridges that are full but cannot be used because a faulty machine rewrote the chip telling it it is almost empty. Does anyone know how I can use these or rewrite the chip?
    Thanks

    Re: cartridge chip reset

Change SP 3045-001 to 1 and reboot. This will turn off detection of the toner level on the chip. The machine will still update the chip as toner is used, but toner end will be based on the toner sensor on the toner nozzle. If the toner Icon is enabled, it will show all four bottles as full. Once the bottle has been used completely, install a new cartridge and change SP3045-001 back to 0.

Thanks, these are loose cartridges that were replaced because of this issue. I will keep them as backups and use your method in the future. Thanks

i just recently bought new chips on "ebat" from china for about $3/each"even had them just ship me 4 black" as i got frustrated trying to figure out how ricohs does it.
i will let you know how it works out.
now question if you shut off the chip detect level does the machine still ask for toner when "empty"?

As soon as the toner sensor on the nozzle detects no toner passing through the nozzle, the near end warning will cone on.
