Hello, I have a Ricoh MP2550 with a blank screen, the machine will copy and print, the touch screen also beeps when touched as if the only thing wrong is that it just doesn't illuminate. Do I deed a new touch screen or is their another cause?, Any and all responses are welcome.

Can be the invertor or the display (you can't change the internal led from the display but the light it not disappear all at once)
Usualy if the machine is new is the inverter board if it is sh with more years behind can be the display.
Check with multimeter the inverter.

Most machines have a dial for adjusting the LCD brightness. Assuming that you have checked that it is not dimmed out, then it is probably one of the parts gkalman2004 mentioned, or the cable between them is loose.Comment

Sounds like the back lighting of the display. Just like a laptop when the baclight dies. Can you see anything if you shine a torch on it?
