    Ricoh 1013 with SC101 Function Problems

    Can anyone give me some help with a Ricoh 1013 with SC101 Function Problems.

      Sc101 says you have trouble with the exposure lamp. If the lamp doesnt light it could be the xenon lamp or its driver board. If the lamp does light check for very dirty mirrors or a mirror knocked out of position. Also check the white level strip between the platen glass and scan slit is clean and last but not least check that the scanner home position sensor is working.
      At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

          If you worked on the machine before this problem occurred,check that the incorrect length screws are not fitted on the adf scanner glass or top covers.this could cause the scanner to momentary stop en route to the home sensor
