3 year old machine could be a failing HDD. Could also be memory errors. Try clearing printer function memory with SP 5-801-008 and Printer SP 1111-002.

How long ago was the firmware updated? It could be firmware corruption. In the past that required reflashing using SD card module firmware.

Which Drivers? The proper and full PCL6 driver, or the universal P.O.S. that will cause all kinds of errors?

Check if all drivers are printing via IP you may have one PC using a WSD port.

Log into the web image monitor, go to Device Management > Configuration > Security > Network Security, and turn off IPP Port 631 on IPv4 and v6, and turn off all WSD on both IPv4 and v6. This should disable all WSD and IPP printing, so only TCP/IP printing will work.

This should eliminate any problematic printing queues. If it still occurs, there may be a Microsoft Class or Ricoh universal print driver installed.

Do not disable IPP port 80, this will prevent you from using the web image monitor, if it is turned off, you have to telnet into the IP address and run set http up to re-enable.

Could be a workstation printing to the machine by mistake, using another manufacturer print driver. It's not easy to tell where this might be coming from. Change the IP address and update your workstations.

If the IM C300 Printer function can display the Job queue, it is easy to determine where the job came from.
